Having a five year old in Kindergarten just wondering why the NFLCC doesn't try and have shows during any of the school recess times. I'm trying to make the Gettysburg show as my son enjoyed himself last year, but will need to pull him out of school for 2 days to be able to attend. Just my 2 cents but if we are trying to attract new collectors might be a good idea to look at school dates and schedule shows to coincide. I have to take a week off in February and would have loved to be able to head south for a show.

Just as an example. It's a 4 1/2 hour drive for me, definitely more than a day trip. would just be convinient to have shows when school is in recess. I've been in the club on and off since 1989 so I do know how things work, since my son just started school this is something that came into play for me. not really a big deal.

Carlos, The NFLCC is always open to evaluate member's specific suggestions. Do you have a specific improvement on the schedule you'd like to recommend? You know, room trading goes on into the evening outside of school hours. Rooms open and close all day long as sellers go to lunch, dinner, etc. On Fri evening you even have the opportunity to bring your little one to attend the auction if you like.

Hi Scott, I'm pretty sure we will be there. In my opinion the room trading is more beneficial to collectors than the actual show, but that's for another discussion. Not a big deal taking a kindergartener out of school for 2 days, my thoughts were more towards high school aged kids who are more likely to get involved in collecting. I think the club should think about these things.

Hi Carlos, the Gettysburg show is on Saturday the 28th, so you & your son should be all clear to attend. The 2 days prior are for room trading and I think an auction on Friday night. Hope to see you there.
