I am an avid arrowhead collector. One site on Clifty Creek in South Central KY has been one of my favorite places to frequent. About 1 1/2 yrs I found what many believe to be one of the oldest and rarest fishing lures known to man. It is a wooden Gorge, bait pushed up in the split part and tied on with sinew. Toss it in water and wait for fish to swallow it and pull, it would then lodge in them. 9 months later at the same site, I found a loafstone. It was used as tie on weight. Has anyone here saw or heard of a gorge, or loafstone.
Here is a pic of the Gorge. I will post pic of the loafstone later.
